South Dublin Astronomical Society:About

From South Dublin Astronomical Society

The SDAS are a group of amateur astronomers around the south Dublin area. We have talks in Gonzaga College in Ranelagh on the first Thursday of every month from September to May, commencing at 8pm. Members regularly go observing in dark sky sites in the Wicklow Mountains and have travelled to events abroad including a number of total solar eclipses.

Membership is free and we issue a regular email newsletter to keep people in touch with what's on in the world of astronomy and space. We will also be introducing beginners classes for members in September 2006.

If you would like more information on the society, just turn up at a meeting or email Walter Mee.
